Distilled on the 4th of October in 1976 using Littlemill’s unique and patented straight-neck copper pot stills.
Gently matured in refill Bourbon barrels for twenty years, then selected for recasking into refill American Oak hogsheads in 1996.
Twenty-seven further years gently resting just a short distance from where the original distillery once stood, Master Blender Michael Henry has determined it is finally the optimum moment for its marrying, bottling and release.
The result: a pure and untampered representation of Littlemill’s distillery character over an incredible length of time ~ the oldest of its kind to date. Bottled at cask strength of 44.9% ABV

A glass portal in the cabinet door provides a window through time to a unique handblown decanter dress stopper created by artist Bethany Wood. Its metallic hues, deep ambers and rich blues take their inspiration from the copper stills and surrounding waters that would have been on Littlemill’s doorstep. No two alike, each masterpiece revives the past and the intersectional skills of whisky making and glassblowing.
Housed alongside each decanter and the artwork is a branded 50ml miniature and a hardback book covering this incredible special release and its unique collaboration. Each bottle is presented in a handmade ash display cabinet, crafted by our most trusted carpenters and woodworkers.
Today, one last custodian of the legacy of Littlemill remains: a guardian of the past traditions and innovations that set this rare single malt Scotch whisky apart.
During their final years of maturation, the casks that contained this exceptionally rare liquid were under the constant, personal supervision of our Master Blender, Michael Henry. With over 30 years industry experience and direct responsibility for all remaining Littlemill liquid, no one has a more erudite, intimate understanding of the character of the last remaining whisky of this lost distillery - and how to preserve it.

While the distillery may have passed into history, its shared spirit of leadership and innovation endures. Seeking kindred spirits whose collaborative efforts serve to revive the past, Michael Henry has partnered with Bethany Wood, artist and founder of Blowfish Glass studio. A leader in her space, Bethany has pioneered her own style of glass art while using her studio to engage new talent that keeps the craft alive. Just as MacGregor’s leadership broke the glass ceiling for women in whisky, Bethany’s method of creating her style of art quite literally shatters glass. Drawing inspiration from MacGregor’s legacy, Littlemill’s surrounding landscape, and the fire that claimed the distillery, Bethany has crafted 250 stunning glass bottle stoppers using tools from the same era as Jane. A shattered glass bubble is quenched in cold water before being carefully heated via a blowtorch, which creates 250 individually unique glass stoppers.
"There are so many wonderful parallels between our two crafts. There is a certain rhythm and adrenaline in their making, but within a routine that is planned very carefully and honed by years of acquired skills. There are the things we inherit, but then the addition of our own personal expressionist style that finishes the masterpiece.”
